Data submission to the New Mexico Hospital Association (NMHA) is voluntary and reported to NMHA directly by the hospital. NMHA's Utilization Report is a monthly compilation of an aggregate volume of a broad range of services provided by the New Mexico acute care hospitals and other select hospitals:

• Inpatient admissions
• Inpatient days
• Outpatient visits

Participating hospitals receive 13 reports during the calendar year:

• One report per month
• One year-end report
• The monthly and year-end reports are provided to participating facilities only
